A Garuda Coin for Good Fortune by Ajarn Apichai
We are currently building a home and part of the initial blessing for the home involves blessing each footing or pillar in the house before it is built. This involves Ajarn Suea, who basically has the house standing of magic, and part of this magic involves 31 of these coins, one in each footing.
These old coins are valued in Thailand because they carry a Krut (Garuda), who is the symbol of authority and good fortune and his statues are on banks and government buildings. These coins have a silver content and we had to buy 40 for the initial house blessing (we buy them in 10's), so I picked out 9 good ones and asked Ajarn Apichai to script and bless them with the magic of Krut.
The magic includes the Heart kata for Krut and because the coin already has the image of Krut it is already supernatural, which is why it is used to 'pay' the land spirits.
The cased coins measure a little over 1.5" once cased and come with Ajarn's card and a specific kata.
