A Satuang to Rahu on April 9th by Ajarn Tui - against the move of Rahu
   A Satuang is the tray made from bamboo and banana leaves and this big ritual to help mitigate the problems that will arise during the change of the position of Rahu on May 5th. These effects usually come earlier than the moment of the full move, as with the last move in November 2023 when Ajarn called the possibility of war 3 weeks before, and Hamas attacked Israel a few days later. This will be held at 5pm on April 9th, which is the best night for a Rahu ritual in the Northern Thai calendar.
   The Satuang will be around 15” square and it will contain 12 black foods instead of the usual 8, and 12 black flags. The food will include 12 black sticky rice balls, 12 pieces of black sweets, 12 black flowers, 12 black fruits, 12 betel nuts, 12 betel leaves, 12 trad hand rolled cigarettes, 12 bananas, 12 sugar cane pieces, 12 candles and 12 pieces of popped rice. During the ritual Ajarn calls on Rahu to help with your good fortune, a renewal of the fate, and to get rid of the bad things in your life. Ajarn also says that you should wish for what you really need on the day of the ritual itself as well, because your wish can influence what you receive from this ritual.
This is rare full ritual offering to Rahu, but it is called for as we are entering a difficult astrology.
