Solid Silver Ong Kru Maleng Pu Bee Amulets by Kruba Tao - 2019
These are the Ong Kru from this release from 5 years ago, and they are rare now. There was a fad for these Maleng Pu Bees at that time, which marked the opening of Tai Yai magic to Thailand and the release of these beautiful items.

These are incredibly well cast Maleng Pu, the local name for the carpenter bee that they represent. The Wicha for these is extensive but they all have a similar job. These bring good fortune to the home, and clear the way forward by removing obstacles. As with most types of these, there is also a small pea of mercury amalgam inside that you can hear make a noise when shook. This addition protects from malicious forms of magic, bad people and gossip, which makes them a functional and useful form of magic.

These are stunning, and while photographing them I noticed that each one is numbered under the wing! They are a classic example of the metal work of this area of the world, and in this case, utterly gorgeous and very well cased by Ajarn Apichai's luksit.

A classic form of regional magic.
It measures 1.75” and uses the Namo Dtassa or other Buddhist kata.
Tai Yai Wicha is renowned for its potent herbal mixtures and the blessings the maker can give.
