The 9 Lives of a Cat Locket for the Evasion of Danger by Ajarn Tui - essential magic for the times.
This is the third and final generation of these have been made into a talisman and this came about through many conversations about the old Sak Yant Knowledge held by Ajarn Tui.
In the Lanna system, Cat Yants are for evasion, be it from any form of danger or even the law, which makes them legendary with the criminal underclass or for those who take risks legally. The Yants are either applied as a set of 9 or 12 and they circle the body, usually on the waist but not everyone can be given them. There was an old ritual where they Ajarn would bury the person who wanted the Yants in the graveyard and if he could escape he could have the Yants applied.
This set of 9 Takrut hold these Yants and for a few of them they had to be burned with the wood of a specific tree, Maai Kanun, and you can see that some of them are darker than others. The Takruts were then set into a male ghost powders (and this is only remains and setting agent) and they were all placed behind a specially made enamel locket that shows cats being very cat. These took a long time to make (as you can imagine) and they have turned out to be super potent. It has taken a long time to get to the point where these can be offered for sale and I thank Ajarn for his time and determination to make these available.
They measure 2.15" and come with Ajarn Tui's card and kata. Potent magic for the future.
